It's February?

It's hard to believe it's already February!

I've been working at my new job 3.5 months, which is crazy; it certainly doesn't feel that long. It's been good fun and there's always something new to learn and do. Australian archaeology is really interesting and the travel is a little bit cool. *winks*

I've also been working with Liz Grzyb on Damnation and Dames, and we're in the editing phase now. The stories are really polishing up nicely.

Bloodstones is open for subs, and I've been getting a nice steady stream. Trying to keep up, but that never seems to be the case with submission piles...

I've also had two very naughty and cheeky kitties of late. There is an upside, though. Turns out I'm not the only crazy cat lady at work anymore -- there are at least 3 others! (One with twice as many cats as me.) So when I complain about my furry babies' antics, I get sympathy!

And since I mentioned the kitties and I haven't posted pics of them lately...here are some recent snapshots:

Saxon, looking a little shady.                                            Lily, murdering the fake mouse.

Each story in this collection has been inspired by a track from the album, Scenes from the Second Storey. Quirky, dark, insightful and sometimes downright disturbing, these tales reflect the emotions and images our authors experienced when they heard ‘their’ song from The God Machine's record.

Scenes from the Second Storey was published in September 2010. It features stories from Kaaron Warren, Robert Hood, Cat Sparks and Paul Haines among many other talented Australian authors.
